A reluctant reindeer with teeth

This is Bella........our 6 month old Rottweiler. My granddaughter was trying to get her to pose with her reindeer antlers. You can see she wasn't too happy about being one of Santa's little helpers. LOL And see what big teeth she'll see why I'm mentioning her teeth in a moment.......keep reading.........LOL.........

I just have to share what just happened................

I was taking a little break from Christmas cardmaking to have a bowl of chicken noodle soup & toast to calm my sore tummy (another story). After a little bit I realized it was just waaaaaay tooooooo quiet! Where is Bella??? I went to our bedroom door (which is normally closed when I'm not in it) & what do I see???????? My CARDSTOCK for my Christmas cards with doggie teeth marks all over it..........probably about 30 sheets destroyed. She tried to cut the corners off the paper herself........cute little bite mark corners! LOL Now why didn't she just ask to use my corner rounder? LOL

Now I know it's my fault..........I should have closed the door..........I should have put the cardstock away..........I should have.........I should get the idea!

But what was sooooooo funny & ironic was that this happened while I was watching a recorded show "It's Me or the Dog"...........a British dog obedience show about how to keep your dog from tearing up your house!!!!!! LOL I just had to laugh!!!

How funny is that!!!

Okay..........I'm back to cardmaking..........

Pixie Cottage challenge

Hi Everyone! I hope that you are all ready for Christmas! I still have to wrap & bag prezzies but everything is hiding in my closet. Shhhhh! Don't tell the kids! LOL

I'm entering a challenge at Pixie Cottage using this sketch..........

I don't know why but this one was a challenge for me.........maybe that's why they call it a "challenge"..........DUH..........LOL. I just wasn't sure how that dark DP was working with the rest (even though it's part of the Heidi Grace DP collection listed on the post below). But after I added the snowflakes & glitter I decided that it was okay. I also think I was supposed to use ribbon where the dotted dark strip is but my ribbon is buried in my closet under all of those aforementioned prezzies. LOL So what do you think? Be honest! (but not brutally might hurt my little feelings.....LOL)

The card details are similar to those listed in the post below. Although I used Copic R22 on the heart nestled in the basket instead of R20 (I prefer the R20). And the Spellbinders Nestabilities is "Labels One" (don't you just love those Nesties!!!!).

This darling stamp................."Snowflurry Tilda" can be found at Diana's shoppe here. She offers great customer service & low shipping.

I pray that all is well with you & yours & you're enjoying this Christmas season when we take the time to celebrate our dear Savior's birth.

Thanks for looking!

Tilda for my Baby Girl

This is the card I made for my daughter's birthday yesterday (you can see my daughter's pretty face on the post right below this one). She loved seeing her name on the card. LOL And since pink is her favorite color.......Tilda just had to be pink too.

I used a Magnolia Tilda stamp (of course) called "Cross Stitch Tilda". This is the first time I've used her. She can be found at Diana's store HERE. She's colored with those marvelous Copic markers and I have to admit............I forgot AGAIN to add highlights to her. One of these days I'll remember! LOL (Maybe I can snag the card away from her & do it. LOL Naw...........I'd probably mess it up! LOL)

Thanks for taking a looksie. I sure appreciate your comments!

Share the love............

I just realized how close Christmas is it just me or did it come way too fast this year? I feel like I got caught off guard & am trying to play catch up. I've got most of my shopping done. The tree is up but we have a new puppy who loves the ornies a little bit "too much" so our tree is bare on the bottom branches. LOL Oh well...........maybe next year...........

I'm working on my "Snowflurry Tilda" Christmas cards & hope to be able to share them with you soon. This is the cutie I'm working with...........

Isn't she just the sweetest. I'm coloring her with my Copic markers in pale blues. I'll be putting them all together this week ( don't hold me to it.....LOL). She can be found at Diana's shoppe HERE.

I hope & pray that you are all doing well & enjoying this Christmas season. We all (myself included) need to take a deep breathe........RELAX.........and remember that Jesus' birth is the true meaning of Christmas! Surround yourselves with those you hold dear & share the love.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

I have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season. I thank the Lord for saving me so many years ago. I thank Him for my beautiful, loving family. I thank Him that even though we’re going through uncertain times that we can always count on the knowledge that He will never leave us. He will always provide. I also thank Him for my many friends and for all of my internet sisters who bring me so much joy.

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? Whatever it may be…….I pray that you are blessed beyond measure with your cup overflowing with goodness and plenty and most of all……filled with God’s love.

You may remember this hymn………….
“We Gather Together to ask the Lord’s Blessing”

In the early 1600s, Dutch settlers brought the Prayer of Thanksgiving to the "New World". Music, based on a Netherlands folk hymn, was added and it became a favorite in the colonies and today is a traditional Thanksgiving hymn. This is a translation by Theodore Baker (1851-1934).

We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known;
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing,
Sing praises to His name: He forgets not His own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, was at our side, all glory be Thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender wilt be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

Have a blessed & joyous Thanksgiving!

My Dear Sister Girlfriends!

Charlene aka scrappygma (you can see the darling fall card she made on her blog) & Kathe aka Katz Designz & I (you know who I am...LOL) enjoyed some time together this past week. What a blast we had!!! Charlene came from Arizona & spent several days with me (I'm in southern California). Kathe joined us on the first 2 days....she just lives a hop, skip & a jump from me. Tilda in her pink party dress

I sure hope you're not getting "too" tired of seeing this adorable little girl named Tilda. She can be found at Diana's shoppe HERE. She is such a sweet little girl. I think she loves living at my house with all of us girls. LOL (My hubby is the lone male in our household........even the dog is female.......too bad, so sad for him.....LOL)

I really do own other Tilda stamps but we have had a ton of girlie October birthdays so I've been having some fun spreading her little cheer around.

I made this card for my granddaughter's 14th birthday. I can't believe our baby is 14 now! My goodness they sure grow up fast. Her sister is already 19! Wow! Does that make me ancient? LOL (don't answer that.....teeheehee)

Side note: I always forget to add the white highlights to her cheeks. So please......just use your imagination! LOL always.........thanks for looking & for leaving your wonderful comments.

My BFF & I are going to the Happiest Place on Earth tomorrow to celebrate my birthday. It's supposed to RAIN (figures...........the ONE day of rain we get this year just HAS to fall on my birthday........LOL) but it won't dampen our spirits! We'll have a ball!

Sharing a Flower Tut..........

While blog surfing today I stumbled across a flower tut & an amazingly talented flower maker........would that make her a florist or a flower designer.........hhhhhmmmmm........not sure what to call her but her flowers are amazing.

This is my Mingle card that I made for my Magnolia-licious Yahoo group for September. The only requirement was to have a button on my project so I added these sweet little heart buttons. I'm getting it out a wee bit late due to our recent trip to New York & the horrible head cold I brought home with me. OY!

I'm entering this card in the Magnolia Down Under challenge #23 to use one or more Buttons along with a Magnolia image. I just love these sweet little girls named Tilda. She was colored with my Copic markers. I used Tilda holding a single flower found at Diana's shop here.

I just love using buttons on my cards. I believe the buttons are from the Jesse James collection found at Michael's.

Thanks for looking & I appreciate each & every comment.

Introducing Bella.........

Meet the newest addition to our family! She's the cutest little Rottie puppy that my granddaughter named "Bella". She's a "love" & only 3 months old with the longest legs. We've all fallen in love with her.

Our family dog is such an important member of our family. Chloe left a gigantic hole in our hearts that could only be filled by another furbaby to love.

Thanks for sharing in my joy!

Our beloved Golden is gone now............

We had to put our 5 yr old Golden Retriever "Chloe" to sleep this morning. She lost her battle with cancer. The doctor gave her 3 to 6 months to live back in May........she lasted 4 more months.

Such a sad day for our family. She was a beloved friend & companion to all of us. We will miss her so much........................
